What’s the difference between Beans and Peas?

Image
For most of my life, I didn't know the difference between peas and beans. And I don't know why I haven't looked it up for so long today. Do you know about that surely?   Oh, you don't know. Dig into about that.  The process of knowing is more meaningful than the result.

Image
Life is like a perennial plant. I have been living in a vegetable garden here for the sixth year, and I felt that way several times. There are seasons such as rainy season, snow, storm, and summer in my heart. Depending on the season, it endures, buds, grows leaves, and leaves fall. Blooming ... the season of emotions. If you look at the earth from space, it will be blue and beautiful. Actually, there are many sad events where tears and blood flow. The inside and the heart of a person are like that. It looks calm from a distance, but I'm sure it's because of a chance to say Hi.  I like to be alone. But usually, people feel lonely so. There is a reason why all leaves fall in before the winter comes. They were very beautiful blue in the summer... but they fall. It's like putting a blanket on the roots under the soil to pass the winter with you. That looks so sad or looks like dead. But it's protection for themselves. They don't easily leave you alone. So...

Germination of seed.

Image
In our backyard, potatoes that have spent the winter in the soil are germinating.   All gardening books say that potatoes are so vulnerable to the cold that they will not be planted in the soil in February yet in the sun. Therefore, usually, everyone germinates potatoes in the sun in a greenhouse or indoors, waiting for the day to be planted in the spring.  I learned that carrots can overwinter in the soil, potatoes can overwinter and germinate, and they are very delicious in our organic garden. What do you believe in? Invisible things by your eyes? Would you like to take a risk-free but unlearned path? If I go on a risky road and continue walking without giving up, I will be moved and learned. And this series of experiences free me everywhere.

My lovely parasol Magnolia obovata.

Image
My style of cuttings seems to have been successful.  Their sprouts look like flower buds. New leaves have begun to bloom like a small propeller. I imagined a Magnolia obovata tree flying into the blue sky with a lot of small propellers. Or ... looks like a green burd.  Anyway, they are beautiful. fallen leaves are also beautiful. It will be a thunderstorm soon.  I'm sure all the leaves will bloom after the storm. I'm looking forward to relaxing with my cats, and having teatime in the shade of the leaves of Magnolia obovata. My parasol is Magonolia obovata. They are the best parasols. It's not a chemical fiber.  I really love their leaf.

Planted green peas seedlings.

Image
I was thinking of planting it every day, but I didn't have a plan for a vegetable garden, so I had to put off the green peas seedlings. There are so many things to think about, so it's only vaguely decided where and what vegetables to plant. Surprisingly it works better. It will rain tomorrow and it's good for seedlings, so I decided to plant it today, finally, I planted it! As always, I started doing something different at first, but thanks to the harvest of bok choy, I was able to fix my derailed thought circuit. I cooked Yakisoba with the bok choy for my lunch.  Once I get the rhythm of your actions, things go smoothly.  I was very happy to finish some hard work but that is not what I planned. It's like even though I'm on the same line every day, I feel like I can't get off at the station I want to get off. Sometimes life is like this. Do you know the difference between peas and beans? I don't know and I didn't look it up, but I'll look it up toni...

Magnolia obovata

Image
It started suddenly this morning. To my surprise, I certainly felt that myself and my mind and body were certifying and executing commands from my brain. Magnolia obovata for cuttings and transplants.  By the window on the northeast side of the kitchen. We can touch them from the window. The mountain is steep and rocky, with not enough soil and space to grow this year. It's about 5-6m high, so I hesitated to cut it myself. Unexpectedly, I could cut well and quickly. Then, I bisected it and cuttings transplanted them. To the south to block the west sun. I guess the gardening book says to cut it shorter... like 20~30cm for each, soaking in a while or one night for cuttings...brb But for the most part, my method succeeds. Te he he. My cuttings for each, 2m more. I know, Magnolia obovata is incredibly strong. It was warm... such a hot today. I wanted to do this when it was cloudy. I believed the weather report. In the evening, it's getting cooler...

"Wait" and "Believe"

Image
I am waiting because I believe. I believe so I am waiting. It's not like usual Spring and its hot days continue, and I can't garden as I want, but I have done excellently the maintenance and pruning of the plants are better than I expected. The daytime temperature makes me want to sow seeds, but it's still too cold at night so it's not yet to do that time. I took a long walk with the cats to suppress the impatience. I always hope it rains a little at dawn this season.  Finally, I'm glad that the Snowflakes and Rhododendron dilatatum have begun to bloom but Tulip has not yet. Maybe my tulip bulb care wasn't well last fall. But Tulip leaves growing beautiful so I am going to carefully care for them this year. Anyway, I believe their strength. So I can wait for the time to bloom. Even if they skipped 1 year.

I'm sorry, I was a little late to transplant you into our garden.  But I made the best place for you. It is well ventilated even in the hot summer and you can stay cool. And you can watch the sunrise with the seasons.  I did what I didn't intend to do as usual today. I was worried every day, but I started giving up this season, and I thought I will do it after the season has passed and the leaves have fallen. We can touch through the window on the north side of the kitchen. Magnolia tree. It grows higher than the roof and you can touch the leaves through the windows on the second floor. However, the soil is not enough for the trunk of the Magnolia obovata.  Because growing from the strong slopes of this rock mountain. So I guess Magnolia obovata can not get enough for their flower bloom. Somehow, I started cutting Magnolia obovata this morning. I thought wow, I am doing this finally today. Okay.  Magnolia obovata is not hard, so even if it is thick, it can be cu...

Live with nature. live in the nature.

I finally started transplanting Sedum, which I had been worried about since 2~3 years ago. I had been thinking I want to do it since I started thinking about it, but the rainy days continued as if I had skipped spring, and the rainy season came so I was delayed to do or missed the chance to do that. There were many rainy days due to climate change, but if I didn't miss the chance named sunny time, it was just right for sedum transplantation and hydrangea stock split. Anyway ... there are many excuses, to say the least.  Hydrangeas have been waiting for me to make enough space for her bloom.  The fig tree was waiting for me to remove the first flowerpot I planted and plant it in the ground as soon as possible. He wanted to take root directly on the ground early.  Sedum blooms very beautifully every year, but it can be a little tricky in the summer with humidity. So I am going to remove and replant Sedum to other spaces and plant my favorite weed here again. The weed is loo...

Gardening for Muscari.

Image
What I have been caring about since last fall. Recently, I've finally started various things and it's going well as I think. So, I replanted Muscari that I planted in a basket about 2 years ago. I planted Muscari next to the Hydrangea that was stock split yesterday. Hydrangea made shade in the hot summer and protect the Muscari from the hot summer sunshine.

Sprouts propagated from cuttings of Hydrangea.

Image
I've been thinking about it for a long time, but I didn't try to do it.  Division, layering, and transplanting hydrangea, gummy candies, figs, etc.  Division, layering, and transplanting hydrangea, gummy candies, figs, etc. But I'm thinking of doing it soon. I'm sure I'll do it. I feel like I'm predicting an eruption in myself. Today I started breeding hydrangea and rosemary like such an approach run. I feel gardening is a little difficult to do gardening in April. I mean early Spring on the mountaintop. Frost and hail can fall even in April, so I don't rush into gardening.  It's about 20 degrees during the day and I'm restless without gardening when the sun is shining, but I have to wait for the minimum temperature to rise further. Look at the thermometer and don't rush, Yumiko.

A generation that is inherited as the season changes.

Image
The rain of spring blessings continued for almost 24 hours, gaining momentum. The flowers of the Crocs family fell down, and the blessings of this rain were transmitted to the bulbs. In this way, it leads to tomorrow and their future of them.  A generation that is inherited as the season changes. Humans sometimes feel lonely about that. The daffodil family began to bloom in the rain by their side. I don't sympathize with the Crocus family who worked hard until the end, but I wish I had an umbrella. Learn and utilize with respect. Thank you a lot of joy for my days.

Rain for them, rain for me.

Image
Many hellebores will bloom this year as well. They bloomed at Christmas last year, so I called them Christmas roses. And the name Christmas rose is common in Japan. This year, it snowed a lot in the New Year, and it began to bloom at the end of winter. They were still wet this morning due to the heavy rain last night and bloomed comfortably as if they had washed their faces. I was worried about the plants that spent the night in the heavy rain, and I remembered that I hadn't washed my face yet.

Anxiety and happy about Spring.

Image
The rain of Spring continues to fall all day. This makes me uneasy and happy.  After sowing the seeds, the long rain after planting is nice. However, I am worried that the spring flowers that have just begun to bloom will be scattered after wintering. Mantis, bees, and butterflies are good, but I hate root-eating caterpillars and leaf-eating insects. Basically, I hate insects with 6 or more legs.

Crocus family under the sun.

Image
All the crocuses were lined up as if they had met the day in the spring equinox today.  This Crocus family has increased.  This year, it bloomed much later than last year.  There were times when I thought it wouldn't bloom until I saw the buds. They are much stronger than humans think. From now on, even if it blooms late, I believe in their strength and wait for the day to bloom. They are blooming while the sun shining.  Like the sun is whispering to them and they are listening to that.

Excellent vegetable

I can not make sure you are Allium schoenoprasum var. foliosum or walking onion. But you are very useful for my cooking and strong. Garlic-like taste, onion-like taste... anyway  I like them and I named them onion-garlic. PS in Japanese, Asatsuki, or Wakegi.  Difficult to distinguish, anyway.

Planting garlic some more.

Image
This winter did not leave us gently as every year.  So I didn't feel blue in the last snow of winter, and I didn't sing the last snow.  A few days ago, Finally, the warbler is back, so we planted the garlic that wintered together in our organic garden.  We planted garlic last Autumn, but ... no matter how much garlic I plant, it's never getting enough garlic.

Image
